Review of Hybula VPS – Great network bandwidth, good configuration

In this article, I would like to share my insights and observations on Hybula VPS – a Dutch company known for its excellent network connection and servers equipped with the latest hardware. This is  a virtual private server solution that promises to deliver exceptional speed and stability for your web applications. Whether you’re looking to host a small personal blog or a complex e-commerce site, Hybula VPS is worth considering. Let’s dive in and explore the features and benefits of this powerful hosting solution.

Table of contents

1. Introducing Hybula

Only established since 2017, Hybula is a young name compared to other big players in the server service industry: Hetzner, OVH, Digital Ocean, Vultr, .. But Hybula quickly attracted attention thanks to the tape. Super transmission line.

If you’ve been following your VPS reviews lately, you’ve probably seen the words Hybula – The Netherlands (40G) in the iperf3 Network Speed Tests section. The 40G figure in brackets is Hybula’s network bandwidth, a huge number, surpassing the 10G bandwidth of other providers.

Hybula currently only provides 4 services: Sector Cloud, Metal Server, Managed VPS, DDOS Protection. There is no Web Hosting service like many other companies.

With the Sector Cloud (VPS) product line, Hybula uses AMD EPYC CPU series specialized for datacenter / server, not AMD Ryzen 5950x CPU which is designed for workstations.

I have wanted to buy Hybula’s VPS for a long time, the listed price of this VPS is quite high, so I still hesitated. The cheapest is €15/month for VPS 2 x EPYC vCPU – 25 GB NVMe – 2 GB DDR4.

2. Promotion of Hybula

Hybula currently has a promotion program on LowEndTalk with extremely attractive prices: €30 / quarter for VPS configuration as follows.

Update 06/09: The program has ended!

- 4x EPYC vCPU
- 50 GB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
- 4 GB DDR4 ECC 3200 MT/s
- 5 TB Traffic Outgoing / Unmetered Incoming > Double to 10 TB!
- 1 Gbit/s Uplink > DOUBLE TO 2 Gbit/s!
- 1x IPv4 Address
- /64 IPv6 Subnet
- Best-Effort DDoS-protection up to 480 Gbit/s
- Located in the Netherlands

It costs only €10/month for the same configuration as the PSC-4 package listed on Hybula’s website (€30/month). Only 1/3 of it!

In addition, you can also double the line speed from 1 Gbits/s to 2 Gbits/s and double the Outbound bandwidth from 5 TB / month to 10 TB / month if you send the order code to the topic on LowEndTalk: https:/ /lowendtalk.com/discussion/181125/hybula-sector-cloud-gen2-4x-epyc-vcpu-50gb-pcie-4-0-4gb-ram-10-tb-anti-ddos-double-deal/

3. Test network speed

Before ordering, I visited Hybula’s Looking Glass page (https://lg-nl-oum.hybula.net/) to test the download speed of files from a server in the Netherlands. It’s surprising when the speed reaches the maximum network connection at home, it’s like downloading files from Viettel’s domestic server or FTP.

This is the first time I have reached the maximum file download speed of the line from a server located in Europe. The speed is superior to the Hetzner side, usually only about 1-2 MB/s.

4. Test YABS

Delicious food with such a delicious price cannot be missed. I immediately took this opportunity to order 1 Hybula VPS to try it out. The price is €10 / month for 4 vCPU EPYC, plus a huge network connection, it is better than SpeedyPage or GreenCloudVPS.

After ordering, test immediately with YABS

curl -sL yabs.sh | bash

It is true that Hybula’s network connection is too terrible. Connections to other servers in Europe, Asia and the US are all limited to a maximum of 1 Gbits/s.

And here is the test result again after upgrading the network speed to 2 Gbits/s.

The EPYC 7203P CPU has a GB5 Single Core score that is worse than the Ryzen 5950X (~1200) but still much better than many older Intel CPUs. Thanks to the 4 vCPU configuration, the overall score of GB5 Multi Core is more than 3600, so delicious!

5. Summary

If you are in need of a high-configuration VPS and a great network, Hybula is one of the bright options. Especially, with the promotion of € 30 / quarter (€ 10 / month) for VPS configuration 4 vCPU – 4 GB RAM – 2 Gbits/s – 10 TB Bandwidth, this is a great price!

Hybula does not have an Affiliate program, so I do not benefit from writing this post. Seeing delicious food should introduce to everyone.

If you are addicted, hurry up and order before the promotion expires. Update: Expired!
